SPIRIT & SERVICE CLUB

Spirit and Service Club

Spirit and Service Club welcomes all students in Grades 6 – 9 to meet every Friday at lunchtime in the foyer. We gather at the church to eat lunch in the hall and do a service project in the church. The projects involve “hands on” service work like labelling offertory boxes, cleaning pews, organizing First Communion books and activity bags. We also do outreach in the community to the homeless. Our “Pay it Forward” lunch hosted by the school cafeteria on November 20 raised funds to purchase lunch supplies for “Safe Harbour," a warming centre for the homeless in downtown Red Deer. Spirit and Service Club students assembled 52 bagged lunches and delivered them to Safe Harbour on November 27. Come and join us in the foyer every Friday at 11:50 a.m.!

Students needing service hours for Confirmation can attend Spirit and Service Club and count one hour of service time for each week they attend.
