Here at St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School, we work hard to create an inviting, inclusive, faith-filled school community where diversity is valued, where relationships and friendships are nurtured, and where emphasis is placed on social and emotional well-being. We want a community where all students belong and contribute to our school in meaningful ways. We continuously endeavour to ensure that our teaching is relevant and responsive for our students. At our school, we are designing 21st-century classrooms that support authentic learning. We identify that our students live in a dynamic world that offers incredible opportunities to learn, advance, and innovate. Our legacy is about inspiring imagination and innovation through authentic learning opportunities whereby students reinforce and apply learning while working on real world problems and engaging projects. Our team employs instructional approaches such as project based learning, inquiry models, and cross-disciplinary learning, as well as the integration of emerging technologies to enhance the learning process. We are focused on how we can best prepare our students to transition to high school, post-secondary study, and/or to the world of work.
We are firm believers in the home/school connection. Please feel free to contact me at the school with any questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself. Working together only enhances your child’s educational experiences.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Ryan Sawula, Principal
